What Division am I in?
In AYSO, as well as in other youth soccer organizations, teams are organized by age group and gender. Age groups are distinguished by the age of the players before the season starts. If, for example, a player is 11 on July 31, that player is considered "Under 12" and plays in the U12 Division.
The different Divisions play on fields sized based on the players' age and use rules that are appropriate for the players' development. Our region has seperate divisions for boys and for girls. For each gender we have a U5, U6, U7, U8, U10, U12 and U14 division. High shool aged players play in the U19 Coed division.
