Coaches Meeting - Fall 2010/Spring 2011 Season Kick-off

Every year, all AYSO coaches have a short meeting to kick off the season, and have opportunities for additional training. This is our beginning of the season meeting where each coach will get a roster of the players on their team, uniforms for their players, etc. All coaches should plan on attending.

Date: Saturday, August 14th
Location: St. Mark's Lutheran Church,
8300 C Ave NE, Marion.
(Location is different from last season's coaches meeting!)
Agenda:
8:30 – 9:30 Safe Haven Class
(Only for coaches that have never taken Safe Haven before.)
9:30 – 10:00 Registration
(Please be on time as we have 200+ coaches to process.)
10:00 – 11:30 Annual Refresher Meeting and Division Specific Discussions
11:30 – 12:00 Pick Up Uniforms & Equipment
(No early distribution. Make other arrangements with the coach administrator if unable to attend.)

 

Coaching clinics are planned for August 7th and August 14th (following the coaches meeting). The clinics on both days will be identical, you can either attend the clinic on the 7th or on the 14th. The training on the 7th and the 14th is at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 8300 C Ave NE, Marion. Please notify the Coach Administrator at coachadmin@ayso-cr.org if you are planning to attend any of the clinics.

What’s required to become an AYSO coach?

If you’re willing to contribute your time and effort to ensuring that kids have a fun experience in a fair and safe program, then you possess the necessary prerequisites to become an AYSO Coach. Regardless of whether or not you know a lot about soccer, AYSO will provide the training and tools to help you become a good coach. We’ve had plenty of moms and dads that started out knowing little about soccer that have gone on to become terrific coaches.
